Fiebre . Fever

Hoy fue un día difícil. La fiebre de Alondra no baja. Llamé a la doctora que la estuvo atendiendo estos días y que nos dijo que tenía neumonía. Nos dijo que la teniamos que internar para darle antibióticos más fuertes por via intravenosa. Fui al hospital general a consultar con el cardiólogo, pero está en Kuala Lumpur hasta el lunes. Finalmente la llevamos a su pediatra (que no estaba el día en que la llevé por primera vez) que la miró bien y nos dió varias opciones. Él no cree que tenga neumonía, pero las posibles alternativas no son buenas.
A todo esto, Alondra está muy feliz y cuando se le baja la fiebre es la misma bebé de siempre. Como no tiene ningún otro síntoma decidimos esperar un poco más para ver si el antibiótico que está tomando ahora le hace efecto. Si para mañana no mejora, la vamos a internar y el pediatra le va a dar antibioticos más fuertes y a hacer un ecocardiograma. Igualmente vamos a tener que esperar que venga el cardiólogo para confirmar cualquier diagnóstico cardíaco.
Así que les pedimos que oren por Alondra. Oren para que el Señor la sane. Oren para que esta noche se le vaya la fiebre. Oren para que la infección no sea en su corazón. Nosotros estamos bien. Contentos de verla bien, pero no tan contentos de tener que internarla otra vez. Oren por nosotros, para que podamos decidir con sabíduría qué es lo mejor.
Tenemos un Dios bueno. Alondra es suya, y él la tiene en sus manos.

Today has been a stressful day. Alondra's fever is not going down. I called the doctor who has been following her case these last days and had diagnosed her with pneumonia. She said that we needed to admit her to the hospital for IV antibiotics. I went to the General Hospital to ask her cardiologist for his opinion, but he is in KL till Monday. Finally I called her usual doctor (who was away when I took her to the clinic for the first time). We had a good visit with him. He doesn't think is pneumonia, but the alternatives are not much better.
Alondra is really well when her fever is down, and since she has no other symptoms we decided to give the antibiotics she is taking a bit more time. If by tomorrow morning she has shown no improvement, she will be admitted to the clinic and the doctor will give her IV antibiotics and scan her heart. In any case, we will need to wait for the cardiologist to come back to confirm any heart-related diagnose.
So, please pray for healing. Pray that whatever it is she has will respond to the antibiotics tonight and that the fever will go down. Please pray that the infection wont be in her heart. We are encouraged by seeing her smiling, but not very excited about the idea of having to take her the hospital again. Please pray for us, that we will be wise in deciding what is best to do.
Our Lord is good. Alondra is his and He has her in his hands. All is well.
