¡Qué bueno es volver a mi casa! Me encanta. Y volver con Alondra sana por un tiempo, mucho mejor. Gracias Señor.
Alondra voló bien. Su hermano no tanto, y estuvo de bastante mal humor todo el día, aunque al final también contento de estar de nuevo en casa.
Teníamos tantas valijas y cosas que no llegué a sacar la cámara de la cartera, y no saqué ni una foto del evento. (Ya se que todos lo saben, pero uno saca mucho menos fotos del segundo hijo que del primero.)
¿Y ahora? Por supuesto que no tengo idea qué va a pasar, pero si me preguntan, a mi me gustaría empezar mi nueva vida con dos hijos. No se cómo va a ser mi vida normal de aquí en más, así que estoy orando para que el Señor me muestre.
Alondra va a necesitar que la llevemos al hospital al menos una vez por mes, para continuar monitoreando su corazón. En realidad, no cambió nada en su corazón. Todavía tiene las arterias cambiadas y un gran agujero, entre otras cosas. Lo que hicieron en Singapur es ponerle un conducto entre dos venas que hace que se le mezcle más la sangre y tenga suficiente sangre oxigenada en todo el cuerpo. Este conducto también tiene que ser monitoreado, porque muchas cosas pueden hacer que no funcione bien. Lo bueno es que en Kuching hay un cardiólogo muy bueno, el mismo que la vió y diagnosticó al principio, y él puede hacer los chequeos, sin que nosotros tengamos que volver a ir a Singapur.
Así que oren por nosotros en estos días de vuelta en Sarawak. Para que Alondra siga mejorando. Por Timo también. Estamos tratando de decidir si seguir mandandolo a la escuela o no (él preferiría que no). Oren por Willy, que va a volver al trabajo durante esta semana, y por mi, que tengo una casa que organizar y también tengo que decidir cuánto trabajo puedo hacer. Por supuesto que organizar la casa con mi mamá acá es fantástico. Quizás hasta me inspire y aprenda a cocinar : )

Oh! The feeling of coming home! Got to love it. And coming home with Alondra fixed for a while, hard to match. It's so wonderful. I'm so thankful.
Alondra did great in the flight. Her brother didn't do so well and was in a terrible mood most of the day! But he was glad to be home too at the end of it. We had so many bags and baby gear that I didn't managed to pull the camera out of my purse to give you a picture of today. (I know you all know this, but one doesn't take as many pictures of the second baby as from the first!)
So now what? I don't know what will happen, of course, but I would like to plunge into my new life as a mom of two. I'm not sure what normal would be like for now on, so I'm praying for guidance.
As for Alondra, we will need to take her to the hospital here in Kuching at least once a month, and continue to monitor her heart. Nothing has changed with her heart, it still has switched arteries and a big whole, among other things. What they did for her in Singapore was to put a shunt that allows her blood to mix up more, so that she will have enough oxigenated blood in her body. This shunt needs to be monitored as well, as many things can cause it not to work properly.
Good news is that the doctor who saw her first, and correctly diagnosed her, is a very good doctor who can continue to monitor her progress here in Kuching. So, we don't need to go back to Singapore to do that.
So please pray for us as we transition into life back in Sarawak. Pray for Alondra to continue to improve. Pray for Timo. We are trying to decide if he should go back to school (he is not very keen!). Pray for Willy as he goes back to work sometime this week, and pray for me as I get the house going and think how much work can I do. Of course that getting the house organized while my mom is here is wonderful! Maybe I can even learn how to cook :)
