Good Bye Singapore

Hoy fue el día nacional de Singapore, 44 años después de que se separaran de Malasia. Miramos un poco los festejos por la tele y aprendimos un poco más sobre el país. Siempre nos encanta venir a Singapur (¡de vacaciones!) aunque esta vez haya sido un poco diferente.
Hoy hicimos las valijas y limpiamos un poco y estuvimos tan agradecidos a Dios por habernos dado este lugar. No se cómo hubieramos podido pasar este tiempo si nos hubieramos tenido que quedar en un hotel (ni cómo lo hubiéramos pagado). Pero fue buenísimo tener este lugar para volver después de un largo día en el hospital. Y también fue un lugar hermoso para Timo y la abuela, porque tiene juegos, pileta y una plaza cerca. (Gracias Dixie!) Los dueños de casa no están, así que estuvimos solos en el departamento. Pero nuestra vecina es también increíble y nos ayudó más que mucho.
Mañana salimos a las 3 de la tarde. Oren por el viaje, especialmente por Alondra. Hoy fue un gran día para ella y para nosotros. Finalmente se le cayó el cordón umbilical (ya nos estábamos preocupando) y también hoy dejó de tomar dos medicamentos (diuréticos para regular los fluidos en su cuerpo). Oren para que se adapte bien sin estos remedios.
Bueno, ¡mejor me voy a dormir! Gracias por orar.

Today is Singapore 44th National Day. It has been fun to watch the parade on TV and learn more about this country. We always love coming to Singapore (for holidays!) but this time was of course a bit different.
As we pack and clean the house a bit we are just so thankful for God's provision, and for our friends generosity in letting us stay here. I can't imagine having to go through all this staying in a hotel (nor how could we ever pay it). But having this apartment to come back after a long day in the hospital has been amazing. And it's also such a fun place for Timo and grandma to be, with a playground, a pool and a park nearby. (Thank you Dixie!) Our host family is away, so it was just us at the house. But we had this amazing neighbor who was extra helpful and so encouraging. Another huge blessing.
We leave tomorrow at 3. Please pray for a safe journey (no H1N1 please!) especially for Alondra.
Today was a special day for her in two ways. Her umbilical cord dropped, (Yea! we were starting to worry.) and she is officially of two of her meds (she was taking diuretics to control the amount of fluid in her body). Please pray she will be ok without this drugs (she still needs to take aspirin long term).
